The European Running Calendar

A curated running calendar of key moments across Europe, beginning with Finland and opening into the wider urban and trail rhythms of movement.

May 2026

  • Helsinki City Run (HCR): One of Finland’s largest running festivals. It features the Helsinki City Half Marathon, a key race in the new Finnish Halfs circuit, and the Minimarathon for children. A defining moment in the city’s running calendar.
  • Naisten Kymppi (Ladies' Ten): A defining celebration of women in motion and the largest event of its kind in Finland. Community-led and joyfully collective, it is where grace meets endurance.
  • Bodom Trail (Espoo): The unofficial start of Finland’s trail running season. Technical, fast paths around Lake Bodom for those seeking a dialogue with nature.
  • Wings for Life World Run: A global movement for those who cannot. One start time, thousands of locations, and one shared purpose.

July 2026

  • NUTS Ylläs Pallas (Lapland): Midnight sun trail running. 160 km beneath endless northern light. A solitary dialogue between body, land, and time.

September 2026

  • Midnight Run Helsinki: A 10K through the city after dark. Lit streets, cool air, and a different rhythm of Helsinki.

The 2026 Circuit

  • Finnish Halfs: A half-marathon circuit connecting selected races across Finland, including the Helsinki City Half Marathon. Limited entries, curated routes, and a growing community of distance seekers. Explore the full circuit.
